Soft washing is a cleaning process that safely removes organic stains, mildew, and algae from outdoor surfaces using a low-pressure washing technique and a mixture of biocides or sodium hypochlorite, surfactants, and water. 

The main difference between pressure washing and soft washing is the pressures involved. Pressure washing uses high-pressure water streams to blast away dirt and grime. Soft washing systems use a low-pressure power washer and cleaning solutions to clean surfaces. Both pressure washing and soft washing use similar equipment but to different effects. The main benefit of soft washing over pressure washing is that it is much less likely to damage your roofing tiles or siding.

 On average, homeowners should get their house washed every 1-3 years. If you live in an area that has particularly high traffic (such as if your house is located next to a busy road) or high amounts of rainfall, then it might be best to wash your home more frequently than the average 1-3 year period. Homes and buildings with vinyl, metal, or composite siding should pressure wash their homes once a year. If you have wood siding, we recommend you pressure wash only when you have dirt or mildew buildup, unless you use very gentle pressure to wash away pollen or cobwebs on an annual basis.
